AI-fueled advances in bioinformatics have made weight control easy, seemingly overnight. Now, it's poised to do the same with longevity. Let's dig in.

Forward: I wrote this report to give you a heads-up on a major technological development and a framework for understanding what it means to you. Some of you may be very familiar with developments in this technology, but most of you probably haven’t heard much about it. Hopefully, this heads-up might give you the insight you need to get ahead of it.

Our long-held assumptions about health and longevity are now on the chopping block. Let’s use weight control (GLP-1, Ozempic, et. al.) as an example;

  • Already, an estimated ~10-15% of the US population is actively reprogramming their bodies with molecular mimicry to control their weight.

  • Almost everyone has a friend or relative who has lost weight by reprogramming it with a synthetic peptide (a short chain of amino acids that acts like a hormone that regulates digestion), GLP-1 receptor agonist (it binds to and activates a receptor on a cell), called semaglutide, and branded as Ozempic or Wegovy.

  • This reprogramming has worked so well, with so few downsides, that many people are actively taking the initiative to microdose more effective peptide combinations (GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon agonists, aka Retatrutride), even though they are still in phase 3 trials.

It’s amazing how quickly we’ve embraced reprogramming our bodies, and also how quickly we’ve shattered long-held assumptions about diet, exercise, and genetic destiny. However, that’s only the start.

Longevity

AI-fueled advances in bioinformatics, molecular mimicry, and epigenetics are also radically accelerating the pace of discovery of new ways to reprogram how our body functions. Most interestingly, we’re now seeing FDA trials of methods that can turn back the clock on cellular aging, returning them to their original youthful state.
